What is a short film?

A short film is simply a film too short to be considered a feature-length film, So 40 minutes or less, however, most range from 5-20 minutes.

They often have a loser based narrative focusing on more themes rather than storytelling or a much more condensed narrative.

Short films are often screened at film festivals and are usually made on smaller/lower budget. These can be from amateur or professional filmmakers.

They require a filmmaker to work within limitations to produce an effective piece of cinema in a short amount of time, and in my case budget.
